Ms. Vivlun (Vivian) Lousie Hardin, was born November 24, 1938, in Marion, Arkansas, to the union of Clarence Hardin Sr. and Belzora White Hardin. She was married to Willis Wade Jr. who preceded her in death in the early eighties. She has one daughter, Varonica Hardin Huddleston. Vivian was one of Sixteen children. Several have passed away before her death, Leola, Ollie Bell, Ernestine, Betty Jean, Clarence Jr. Margie Marie, Darryl Douglas, and Frank Edward.
Her living siblings are Dorothy (Nathaniel Walker), Joyce (Pastor: Robert L. DeFrance Sr.), Larry Clinton (Janella), Deborah, Diane, Dereck, and Angie. She has one grandson Desie (Nicole), and four grandchildren; Hananiah, Alexandria, Avery, and Alyson.
Vivian moved from Detroit to Benton Harbor in 1954 and was employed by Whirlpool, later she decided to freelance her cooking skills at various restaurants within the Benton Harbor area. She also took it upon herself to do fieldwork picking fruits and vegetables. She loved gardening and helping other people in any way that she could. She was a true giver by nature. Much of her time was spent assisting Doctor Donald Tines in organizing a Church for his Parrish and she did so because she loved the Lord in a special way. She loved her family and always kept them in her thoughts and prayers.
She leaves to cherish a great number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; a proud legacy to be sure.
A special thanks goes out to Larry and Joyce and brother-in-law Pastor Robert L. DeFrance Sr. for their support given during her time of illness and the quaint visits from her nieces and nephews who visited her while she was in the nursing facility.
Vivian was a devout Christian and the Lord blessed Vivian in many ways. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and her love for the Lord. She often said that Mother prayed that we look after each other and that we stay together.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Robbins Brothers Funeral Home, Benton Harbor.
