Benton Charter township officials are giving citizens some more time to get their winter property taxes in.
At their regular meeting Tuesday, trustees approved moving the deadline for residents to pay property taxes without penalty from Feb. 14 to Feb. 28.
“This is something the board has done for quite a number of years to give our taxpayers a little more time,” said township Supervisor Cathy Yates.
