The World of Winter Festival is returning to downtown Grand Rapids, starting Friday and running through early March. Bill Kirk is with organizer Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. and spoke with Michigan News Network about what’s planned.
“We’re trying to get folks out and about downtown in the wintertime,” Kirk said. “So, what we’re showcasing if over 100 outdoor art installations and events over the court of those two months.”
Everything kicks off Friday evening with food trucks, fire pits, and art displays. Kirk says the festival will also feature ice sculptures, a silent disco, scavenger hunts, and an outdoor drag show.
