The sights and sounds of the holidays will take over downtown Bridgman during Holiday Village on Saturday, December 10th. The event, which is organized and orchestrated by the Greater Bridgman Area Chamber and Growth Alliance (CGA), an affiliate of the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber, is a holiday staple in the Bridgman community bringing visitors to the downtown for family fun each December.
Holiday Village returned in December 2021 after a 2-year hiatus due to Covid-19 and was a resounding success! Hundreds of residents and visitors lined the streets and storefronts throughout downtown Bridgman taking part in many activities. Building off that success, the CGA’s event committee has announced a wide variety of festivities this year suitable for any age or family size.
The wildly popular pop-up market that debuted last year has moved to a new location for 2022, the gymnasium at Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. The market will also have extended hours from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. All vendors will be featuring homegrown, homemade, and hand-crafted items perfect for last minute stocking stuffers, gifts, or simply as treats for yourself.
Getting around downtown will be no problem as visitors will have the opportunity to hop on the free trolley courtesy of Fruitful Vine Tours from 12:30 – 6:00 p.m. Trolley route stops include Immanuel Lutheran Church and School, Small Town Grounds, Transient Artisan Ales parking lot, Rebecca’s Ceramics, and the Bridgman Public Library.
The full day of events starts at Bridgman’s newest eatery, Molly’s Beach Walk Café with Grinch pancakes and hot cocoa specials and is topped off with live music and dancing at the Bridgman American Legion Post 331 with Boneafyde. This local favorite features rock music spanning the decades and will ensure everyone is up and dancing. Cash bar, pop, water and snacks will be available for purchase.
