Three people were sent to the hospital over the weekend after a crash at the intersection of Dailey Road and Pokagon Highway in LaGrange Township.
Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reported that at approximately 9:00 a.m. Saturday, deputies responded to the scene of a personal injury crash. Theresa Schultz, a 60-year-old Fort Wayne resident, was westbound on Pokagon Highway when a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Dowagiac resident Jordan Hanifan, failed to yield after stopping at the intersection, striking Schultz’s vehicle.
Hanifan had passengers in his vehicle including 28-year-old Samantha Hanifan, 9-year-old Lavender Hanifan, and 7-year-old Alec Hanifan. Both vehicles were pushed off the roadway. Jordan Hanifan had to be extricated out of his vehicle by emergency personnel.
Shultz was transported to Borgess Lee Memorial hospital in Dowagiac for her injuries. Jordan and Samantha Hanifan, were transported to South Bend Memorial hospital for their injuries.
