COVID-19 Study In Michigan

A consortium of public health leaders across Michigan have announced plans to study the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic including the impact of public health enforcement orders on businesses and schools. Norm Hess is executive director of the Michigan Association for Local Public Health, which commissioned the study.

“There has been a lot of commentary along the way and there has not been a lot of time to stop and affirm or put to rest some misinformation that’s going on,” says Hess. “We just thought it was important for us to do this. It is a several month process and we don’t imagine our final report will be out until January or February.”

Public Sector Consultants of Lansing, a non-partisan, third-party research firm, will help lead the study.
