A Kansas man is dead after a hit and run crash in Allegan County Friday. The Allegan County Sheriff’s Department says first responders were sent to 102nd Avenue near 56th Street in Lee Township around 10:15 a.m. Deputies found the bicyclist dead from his injuries. Police were able to locate a damaged vehicle nearby and a suspect who they believe was the driver in the crash. Evidence at the scene suggests the passenger car was eastbound on 102nd Avenue and the bicycle was westbound. Police believe the car crossed the center over the road and struck the bicyclist head-on near the shoulder of the westbound road. The victim has been identified as Paul Laski of Shawnee, Kansas. The identity of the driver has not yet been released. The case will be referred to the Allegan County Prosecutor.
