Wayne was born July 13, 1963 to Kenneth & Shirley (Schuh) Welsher in Albany, New York. In 1981, he graduated from St. Joseph High School. He began his career in plumbing/pipe fitting shortly after high school, beginning with City Plumbing in St. Joseph. He currently was a member of UA Local 357 Plumbers/Pipefitters HVAC.
Wayne was a kind soul with a soft heart. He would do anything to help others in times of need. He had a great sense of humor, and was always the life of the party. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and grilling/cooking outside. He also had a great love for animals and nature. However, what Wayne loved most was his family, especially his son, Zachary, and sister, Debbie. He cherished family reunions, and reminiscing about past family events.
Wayne is survived by his son, Zachary Welsher of Constantine, Ml; sister, Debbie (David) Mueller of Stevensville; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth & Shirley Welsher; grandparents, William & Marjorie Welsher, and Rudy & Eleanor Schuh.
“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.” – John 11: 25-26
