A 26-year-old Jones man is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries after his motorcycle was hit by a deer late Monday night. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to Union Road just north of Calvin Hill Street in Calvin Township just after 11 pm for the crash. Corey McDonald was headed south on Union when he was hit by the deer. He was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for his injuries and was not wearing a helmet. Deputies add drugs and alcohol are not apparently factors in the crash.
