No One Hurt In Dowagiac Fire

No one is injured after a house fire in Dowagiac Sunday evening. The Dowagiac Department of Public Safety says firefighters responded to the scene at 107 Telegraph Street shortly after 5 p.m. They arrived to find the three story home with fire in the attic. They entered the building, searched, and cleared it for any victims. Firefighters were then able to get the fire under control by about 5:20. Firefighters remained on scene until about 6:30 for salvage and overhaul operations. The fire is believed to have started in the attic and its cause is under investigation. Several floors of the home suffered heat, water, and smoke damage.
