Pumpkins On Parade, Halloween Trick Or Treating Planned For Downtown St. Joseph

St. Joseph Today is preparing to mark Halloween with Pumpkins on Parade and Halloween trick or treating this month. St. Joseph Today told us more:

St. Joe Today and participating businesses invite the SWMI community to enjoy two great Halloween events this October – Pumpkins on Parade and Halloween Trick-Or-Treat!

SWMI businesses and restaurants host Pumpkins on Parade, a pumpkin decorating contest. Participating locations will display their decorated pumpkins from October 22 through October 31. The community is invited to view the pumpkins and vote for their favorite. Votes can be cast online at stjoetoday.com/vote from 10:00a October 22 to 11:59p October 31. Special thanks to Silver Beach Pizza and Prillwitz Fruit Farms for the coordination and donation of pumpkins for this event.

Pumpkins on Parade participants include the Benton Harbor Public Library, Berrien Community Foundation, Caffe Tosi, City of St. Joseph | Public Works, Forever Clean Soap Works, G&M Variety, Glik’s of St. Joseph, Jimmy John’s, Krasl Art Center, Lazy Ballerina Winery, Maxwell Boutique, Perennial Accents, Schu’s, Silver Beach County Park, Silver Beach Pizza, Silver Harbor Brewing, St. Joseph Today, St. Joseph/Maud Preston Palenske Memorial Library, Statements Style Lounge, Sturgis Bank, The Candlestick Maker, The Inn at Harbor Shores, The Livery, The Toy Company, The Whitcomb Senior Living Community, Tim’s Too, Third Coast Surf Shop and Wanderlust Outfitters.  

Downtown St. Joseph and the Benton Harbor Arts District host Halloween Trick-Or-Treat on Friday, October 29 from 4:30p-6:00p. Youth are encouraged to wear their costumes and visit participating locations. This event is sponsored by Holt Bosse. 

In St. Joseph, the first 750 youths to stop by the St. Joe Today Welcome Center, 301 State Street, will receive a trick-or-treat bag courtesy of Holt Bosse. 

Participating businesses for the downtown St. Joseph event include Broad Street Cafe, Caffe Tosi, Chartreuse, Chocolate Cafe, DK Boutique, Edgewater Gifts, First Congregational Church, Forever Books, G&M Variety, Grins of St. Joseph, Jimmy John’s, Kilwins, Lazy Ballerina Winery, Maxwell Boutique, MOMS Club of St. Joseph, Olive Cart, Perennial Accents, Schu’s, Silver Harbor Brewing, St. Joseph Today, State Street Meats, The Buck Burgers & Brew, The Candlestick Maker, The Cheese Lady SJ, The Inn at Harbor Shores, The Natural Gem, The Toy Company, The Whitcomb Senior Living Community, Third Coast Surf Shop, Tim’s Too, Urban Found, Wanderlust Outfitters and White Pine Winery.

In the Benton Harbor Arts District, the first 250 youths to stop by the Benton Harbor Public Library table in Arts Park will receive a trick-or-treat bag from Holt Bosse. Participants will enjoy a special performance by the Tigers Marching Band! Special thanks to the Benton Harbor Public Library, Benton Harbor DDA and the Benton Harbor Area Schools for helping make this event possible in the Arts District.

The City of St. Joseph hosts additional Halloween fun: Truck or Treat + Touch a Truck Event on October 30 from 4:00p-6:00p and City-wide Trick-Or-Treat on October 31 from 6:00p-7:30p.
