Mildred F. “Millie” Olmstead, 89, of Galien, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021, at Brentwood at Niles Senior Living.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 212 W. Front St., Buchanan with Pastor Daniel Barz officiating. Burial will follow in Galien Cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 am also at the church. Milllie was born on September 25, 1932, to Dan and Dora (Krumrie) Pazder in Buchanan. On April 7, 1951, she married Dale B. Olmstead. Millie was a member at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Buchanan for over sixty years. During this time, she served on the choir and altar guild. Most of all, Millie cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mildred is survived by her sons, David (Alyson) Olmstead, Richard “Dick” (Gwen) Olmstead and Todd (Robin) Olmstead; grandchildren, Amanda, Anna, Amber, Nicholas, Morgan; great-grandchildren, Evan, Tyler, Skylar, Karly, Joshua, Parker, one on the way, and sister-in-law, Shirl Pazder. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Dale Olmstead; grandsons, Aaron, Nathaniel and brothers, Lee and Al Pazder.
