Eric Alan Granke, 41, of Bridgman passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 7, 2021.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman with Reverend Chris Peddie, officiating. Friends may meet with the family on Friday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Eric was born April 5, 1980 in Niles, the son of Rick and Gail (Smith) Granke. Eric graduated from Bridgman High School in 1999. On September 19, 2004 he married Laura Jones and they shared 16 years together. Since February of 2003 Eric and Laura owned and operated Eric’s Bridgman Café in Bridgman. Eric was a huge Boston Celtics fan and enjoyed annual family vacations to Disney World. He listened to Pearl Jam, Linkin Park, and various podcasts. He enjoyed landscaping, seeing the ocean, and watching WWE wrestling.

Survivors include his wife: Laura; mother: Gail (Dieter) Timm; father: Rick Granke; children: Corey Granke, Emily Granke and Courtney J. Baham; sister: Shannon (Scott) Zeilke; and two nephews: Bob and Jason Zeilke.

Eric’s Bridgman Café wasn’t just a place for breakfast or lunch. The café was a gathering place for the community. Eric loved his community and the community loved him.
