If you feel anxious about going back to the office or back to school after being at home because of the pandemic, you’re not alone. Day One for Oakland Family Services Director Andrea Orsini told Michigan News Network people need to acknowledge that anxiety is normal.
“People are struggling with that concept of anxiety and feeling as though it’s not right to be anxious about returning to in-office work or kids going back to school on a full-time basis,” Orsini said. “In reality, we have been used to being at home, and we’ve been used to having a lot of control over our environment, and now there’s all kinds of uncertainty.”
Orsini says you should be kind to yourself. If it reaches the point where it’s hard for you to leave your house, she recommends talking to someone.
