The Lakeshore Public Schools Board of Education has selected Greg Eding to be the district’s next superintendent. A release from the board says Eding was picked Monday out of two finalists. Eding has served the Zeeland Public Schools since 2004. He was the middle school principal for twelve years, prior to becoming the high school principal in 2016. He was selected over Parchment Schools Superintendent Jason Misner. Lakeshore Public Schools Board of Education President Jason Beckrow says Eding’s “calm, stable leadership; his focus on collaboration and continuous improvement; and his passion for children and for the Lakeshore community will serve the district well.” The board selected Eding after the final two candidates presented their proposed 90-day entry plans into the school district and community. After deliberations the board unanimously approved the hiring of Eding. Contract negotiations will now begin.
