Two suspects are in custody after a chase with police in the Niles area on Friday. The Niles Police Department says deputies with the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department chased a vehicle into the city limits shortly before 10 a.m. After the two suspects crashed, they got out of their vehicle and ran. One was caught quickly by Niles police, and the other was found about two hours later hiding in a garage. Both of the suspects were wanted for questioning in an Illinois murder. One is a 19-year-old man from Chicago, and the other is an 18-year-old man from Springfield, Michigan. The Niles Police Department says the second suspect was found thanks to citizens providing police with information.
