Students at Central Michigan University will have a choice whether to attend classes in person or online this fall because of the coronavirus pandemic. CMU Vice President Mary Schutten spoke with Michigan News Network about the plan for the year.
“It’s a model that allows classes to be offered in person and then also for students to simultaneously access it from any other spot,” Schutten said. “We are putting technology in every classroom on campus with cameras and phones.”
Schutten expects a fall enrollment of 18,000 to 19,000 with 13,000 on campus. She says for those attending class in person, they will have to wear masks, social distance, and follow directional signage.
