It’s Summer Jam weekend for our sister station, 97.5 Y-Country. The 21st annual event will be Saturday at 4:30 featuring co-headliners Tyler Rich and Jameson Rogers. Begun in 1998, the event has featured young, rising country stars and was part of the old Venetian Festival from 2005 until that ended in 2011. Y-Country’s Matt Malone reminds us some of the acts we’ve brought through over the past 21 years have been Toby Keith, Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan, and Lee Brice.
“These names continue to resonate into today, and that’s what I’m hoping for with these two artists as well,” Malone tells WSJM News. “I know they’re well on their way.”
Tickets through the end of the day today are $20 and they’ll be $25 at the gate at Shadowland Pavilion inside Silver Beach County Park tomorrow. Gates open at 4.
