Barbara Allen (75), formally of Coloma, Michigan passed away Sunday June 16th 2019 in Ormond Beach, Florida.
Barbara was born on November 24th 1943 to Carlyle and Marie (Aviles) Dahms in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School and went on to become a professional hair dresser after attending beauty college. Barbara also worked for many years at AAA as well at American Electric Power. After leaving the work force in 1995, Barbara spent her days crafting, shopping, gardening, spending time with her family and soaking up the sun. No matter the situation, Barbara could bring a smile to anyone’s face and make them feel loved with her genuinely kind spirit.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Rex Allen; Three Children, Jennifer Engle, Karen Johnson and Thomas (Carla) Imbordino; Two step-children, Mike (Linda) Allen and Rex (Trish) Allen Jr., as well as eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her two sisters, Karen (Wes) Chamberlin and Carol (Renee) Secor.
Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Margret Wagner; Two brothers, Robert Dahms and Michael Dahms; nephew, Bobby Dahms, and her parents.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 3rd from 1:00-3:00pm at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma, MI. Burial will take place at North Shore Memory Gardens at a later date.
