A Niles woman is recovering after a single-vehicle crash on Monday morning. The city police department tells us it happened about 8:20 a.m. on West Chicago Road between Meadow Drive and Colony Court. 35-year-old Jennifer Flewellen had been heading west when she crossed the center line and wound up hitting a utility pole on the opposite side of the road. Responding police found her unresponsive, and she was taken to Lakeland Hospital by ambulance. Police say they do not know her current condition. The crash remains under investigation.
