State Police Seize 110 Pounds of Marijuana on I94
Andrew Green Reporting
|
Michigan State Police made another big marijuana bust on I-94 in Berrien County Thursday morning. Trooper Jim Gillespie out of the Fifth District post says that he had pulled over a Jeep Commander for an improper lane change on Eastbound 94 near I-196 when he noticed the odor of marijuana while talking to the driver. During a subsequent search, Gillespie found two large duffel bags containing about 110 pounds of marijuana, worth about 110-thousand dollars. Both of the vehicle’s occupants -- a 60 year-old man from Farmington Hills, and a 50 year-old man from Detroit -- were arrested, and lodged in the Berrien County Jail.
