Local officials and representatives of M-DOT will be on hand for a dedication ceremony next week to officially rename part of a state highway in Cass County to honor area veterans. M-DOT's Julie Hurley says that the stretch of M-62 between Cassopolis and Dowagiac will be renamed "Veteran's Memorial Highway" after an effort by two local VFW posts:

State Senator Ron Jelinek will be among those to speak at the dedication. It'll be at Veteran's Memorial and Beeson Street Roadside Park, about four miles southeast of Dowagiac, starting at two-30.
