Police Raid Sodus Township Hotel


With warrant in hand, the Berrien County Sheriff's Department Narcotics Unit raided a hotel room in Sodus Township over the weekend and arrested 6 people. The Herald Palladium reports police found about $300 of crack cocaine, packaging materials and other paraphernalia in the Rodeway Inn Hotel Room. A large pit bulldog was also found and turned over to a relative. Police arrested 29-year-old Leonard Robinson and 52-year-old David Cummings, both of Benton Harbor, for investigation of charges of possession of cocain and maintaining a drug house. Four other people were arrested for investigation of charges of being a disorderly person and being an inmate of a drug house.
