Ibrahim Parlak got some good news this week. The Turkish immigrant and owner of the Cafe Gulistan in Harbert says that his work permit has been renewed, meaning that he won't have to sell his business, after all:

He says he was notified on Tuesday by the office of Senator Carl Levin that the government had granted his permit, after a long series of delays. He says now he's focusing on his ongoing deportation case, on which a federal judge has yet to rule.
