The Michigan Farm Bureau Political Action Committee has endorsed Congressman Fred Upton for his reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives. Farm Bureau President Wayne Wood says that Upton is a "Friend of Agriculture", and the organization looks forward to working with him for another two years in promoting Michigan's Ag interests. The Farm Bureau says that while in the US House, Upton has been an advocate for farmers, helping secure increased school nutrition program funding, as well as new research block grant and disaster aid provisions for specialty crop growers in this year�s farm bill. Upton said he's honored to get the endorsement.
