The Heart of Cook grant awards for 2008 were announced this week by Indiana-Michigan Power's Cook Nuclear Power Plant. Bill Shalk, of I and M, says that the grants are part of a program run by the utility designed to support local non-profit organizations:

Among this year's recipients are the Benton Harbor-Saint Joe YMCA, which is getting money for its Dolphin Swim Team...the Friends of the Saint Joseph River, which works to protect the watershed...and Hospice at Home, for support services.
