In an effort to allow for better communication between the public and city government, Benton Harbor Mayor Wilce Cooke said this week that starting next month, he'll be holding regular office hours. Between ten AM and two or three in the afternoon, Cooke will be available at his office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He said he's found members of the public often have a hard time reaching him with his current schedule:

He said the regular office hours will give the public a chance to bring concerns to him without having to wait for city commission meetings.
