Four more employees of Benton Harbor Schools will be laid off by the end of the school year. As part of a deficit reduction plan that would see the district resolving its nearly three-million dollar shortfall over two years, the lay-offs of three school nurses, as well as the High School Public Safety Coordinator, were approved by the school board this week. They're the latest in a series of administrative staff reductions to come in recent months. District officials had stated previously that lay-offs of teaching staff are not planned.
