Kathy Jo Lawrence, 64, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, in Dowagiac, Michigan.
Kathy was born on June 26, 1960 in Dowagiac, Michigan to Benjamin West Sr. and Elsie (Young) West.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin West Sr.
Left to cherish the memory of Kathy is her loving husband of 46 years, Wayne Lawrence Sr; children, Wayne Lawrence Jr. and Kathleen (Delmur) Phillips; 3 grandchildren; mother, Elsie West, and sister, Shelley West.
She was a beacon of selflessness and compassion, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her generous spirit was most evident in her love for helping people, bringing comfort and joy to those around her in countless, often quiet ways.
Kathy’s heart was full when she was surrounded by her beloved grandchildren. The time she spent with them was treasured, creating joyful memories that will be cherished forever.
Her bright presence and unwavering kindness have left an indelible mark on this world. Kathy’s legacy of love and service will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her family takes solace in the knowledge that her impact will be felt for generations to come.
In keeping with Kathy’s wishes, there will be no services held at this time.
