Mary Wolff Deemer, 63, of South Haven Michigan, left God’s waiting room on Sunday, September 22, 2024, cheering on her Green Bay Packers.

Born in Muskegon Michigan on April 10, 1961 to Ronald Sr. and Lorraine Wolff.

Mary is survived by her sons; Nathan (Stephanie Deemer) and Allen Jackson. Also survived by her brothers Joseph (Cindy) Wolff, Ronald (Lisa) Wolff Jr., Matthew (Amy) Wolff , her nieces Shelby Wolff, Erin Gibson and her dogs Dinah and Lorraine aka Rainey.

Preceded in death by parents Ronald Wolff Sr., Lorraine Wolff and special dogs Starr and Daisey.

Mary graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School, class of 1979 and earned a BA in Business from Western Michigan University.

She was employed as manager of The South Haven Daily Tribune, the South Haven Chamber of Commerce and retired from the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in 2021 where she was a proud member of UAWA Local 150.

Mary was extremely grateful for the service and sacrifice of our military’s veterans and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Post 49 and Wounded Warriors.

For over 20 years on December 13th, Mary would roam the city of South Haven disguised as Santa’s Elf leaving a basket of 12 gifts on people’s porches with a note that read “Please open 1 present a day until Christmas” for those who she thought were in need of some holiday Cheer.

She was a Green Bay Packer stockholder. Every time the Packers scored she could be heard throughout the neighborhood ringing her Green Bay cowbell with her dogs by her side on the front porch.

Mary was a mom to most of her sons’ friends and they stopped by even when Nathan and Allen were no longer at home.

She was a proud “Aunt” to Libby (Cochran) Hosier and Brady Cochran.

Mary knew how to have fun and she wanted everyone around her to have fun. She never met a stranger and could be seen walking her dogs around her neighborhood daily and entertaining friends at her Backyard Bar. She loved her dogs having rescued them both and supported the Al-Van Humane Society, and enjoyed an active role in her neighborhood and the South Haven Community.

Mary will be missed and remembered with a smile by many family and friends including her life long friend Cathy Kandalec Sweetman.

A celebration of Mary’s life will take place at a later date.
