Cheryl “Sherry” Anne Kirila

Sherry Kirila peacefully passed away on Monday, September 23, in South Haven, MI, at the age of 77. She was born on April10, 1947, in South Haven, MI to her loving parents, Jeanette Crow and George Crow, Jr.
She attended St. Basil school and L.C. Mohr High School, graduating in 1965.

Sherry had a fulfilling career as a freelance court reporter, employed by Murphy Reporting in St. Joseph, MI, and Moretti Group in Kalamazoo, MI and enjoyed meeting many interesting people along the way.

Outside of her career, Sherry enjoyed her family, home, gardening, barbecues and the occasional trip to the casino.
Sherry is survived by her mother Jeanette Crow; her daughters who provided their love and constant care, Lisa (Greg) Naki and Carrie Geier (Curt Johnson).

Also surviving are her sisters Vicki (David) Hope, Cynthia Acerra, Patricia (Terry) Bachman, and brother George Crow, III (Tricia Hennessy). She is also survived by her beloved grandson, Kyle Naki of Dever, CO.
Also surviving are special nephew AJ Acerra. Nephews: Matthew Hope, Nik and Ryan Bachman. Nieces: Jenna Acerra and Chelsea Savage.

Sherry was preceded in death by her father George Crow, Jr., and brother-in-law Gene Acerra. Also, Dan Savage and Mason Savage, husband and son of Chelsea Savage, June 30, 2024.

A special thank you for the unwavering love and support of lifelong friends Diane Ford, Carla Peek, Janet Forreider and Karen Stewart.

Cremation has taken place and at this time no services are planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Filbrandt Chapel-Starks Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Services. 269-637-0333.
