Larry Dean Ford, aged 82, of Big Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024. Born on October 8, 1941, to the late Cecil and Agnes Carpenter Ford, Larry’s life was a testament to the joy of simplicity and the warmth of family ties.

Larry grew up in a bustling household with his siblings, Kathleen, Betty Jean, Ronald, Joyce, Robert, Richard, Sharon, and Danny, who provided a tapestry of love and camaraderie throughout his life. Although many of his siblings, Betty Jean, Ronald, Joyce, Robert, Richard and Sharon preceded him in death, their memories remained a source of comfort and strength for him. His sister Kathleen Carpenter along with his sister Bernadine Comer, and brother Danny (Sandy) Carpenter, survive him, as do a cherished assembly of nieces and nephews who will fondly remember their Uncle Larry’s gentle spirit and kind heart.

Larry’s life was one of service and compassion, virtues he embodied during his more than 15 years working alongside his beloved wife, Janie Ford, who passed before him, in a skilled nursing facility. There, Larry’s kind demeanor and unwavering dedication to the well-being of others left an indelible mark on the lives of many.
