Gary Don Luster, 71, of Niles, died peacefully in the comfort of family’s presence.

His life began October 25, 1952 in Senath Missouri, the oldest of seven, born to Donald Lee and Kathryn Imogene Luster.

He married Kathy Jo Bedell November 5, 1977 at Mapleview Free Methodist Church in Niles.

Gary worked as a superintendent in bridge construction. He shared his knowledge and sharp mind both at work and at home. His family believed, if Gary couldn’t fix it, no one could. He was known as a kind hearted person who worked hard. If you were to listen in, you could often hear Gary listening to either classic rock or country music. He loved lottery tickets, playing pool, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He dearly loved his last trip to Gatlinburg where he was able to spend time with his family and grandchildren.

Gary will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Jo Luster; three daughters, April Fazi, Amy Jo (Kirk) True, Ashley Luster; grandchildren, Collin Fazi, Hunter Fazi, Kyia Luster, Remi Luster, Hannah Jo Getman; three sisters, Regina (Jack) Krieger, Theresa (Steven) Harger, Lela (Mike) Hutchins; two brothers, Michael (Breanne) Drum, Mitchell Drum and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ronnie Hazelwood.
