Rebecca Sue Forler, 76, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in Buchanan, Michigan surrounded by her family.
Rebecca was born on January 15, 1948 in Niles, Michigan to the late Lenzy Earl Swaim and Evelyn (McLain) Swaim.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Lenzy Earl and Evelyn Swaim.
Left to cherish the memory of Rebecca is her loving husband of 57 years, Michael Richard Forler; children, David (Ann) Forler, Jason (Robin) Forler, Jennifer (Matt) Crimmins, Adam (Waverly Ray) Forler, Nichele (Chad) Rohacs, and Joey (Nicole) Forler; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Marcia VanHoedt, Kim (David) Tallman, and Michael Swaim, and many nieces and nephews.
Rebecca’s presence was a beacon of unwavering support; she was a pillar in her family, consistently there for every member in any capacity they needed. Her home was the heart of where her family gathered, and her nurturing touch was felt through the generations.
Known for her strong-willed nature, Rebecca demonstrated an exceptional commitment to her family, guiding them with wisdom and love. Traveling the country and making memories wherever they landed was something she cherished with her family. Raising 6 strong, independent children along the way, teaching them ways of living off the land, to love animals and mother nature. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit remains a guiding light that continues to shine in the hearts of her beloved family. Rebecca’s memory will be cherished and lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to feel her enduring warmth and generosity.
In keeping with Rebecca’s wishes, there will be no services held at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Rebecca may be made out to your local animal shelter.
