We sadly announce the passing of Tina Scholten, who departed from this life on April 25, 2024, at the age of 50. Born on Aug. 22, 1973, Tina was a beloved mother, wife, sister, and daughter who touched many lives with her vivacious personality. She was funny, caring, friendly, and passionate.

Tina is survived by her loving husband, Mark Scholten; her adoring daughter, Amanda Sparks; her mother, Nora Stroud; and siblings: brother, Dustin Stroud, sister, Shelly Cronk, and brother, Teddy Stroud. She is predeceased by her father, Gary Stroud, who she loved dearly.

Throughout her life, Tina held a love for bright and vivid colors that reflected her lively character. She was an avid fan of TV shows, such as Monk, Murder, She Wrote, and Bob’s Burgers. Tina cherished art from her loved ones, and took delight in playing all types of games, but spending time with her friends and family was by far the thing she cherished the most.

As a longtime resident and worker in Hartford, Tina cherished the community, extending her warmth and sense of humor to everybody who took the time to speak with her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A viewing for Tina will be at noon on Thursday, May 2, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m., at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery immediately following the service. As we bid farewell to Tina, we remember her for the joy she brought to all our lives.
