Dorothy Marie Fralick, aged 96, a long-time resident of Niles, Michigan, and born in Oswego, New York, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2024. She was born to the late George and Rose (Dauphinet) Burdick on August 3, 1927, and was the beloved wife of the late Oakley Ralph Fralick. Together, they shared a life filled with love, enterprise, and family.

Dorothy was the cherished mother of Mark (Susan) Fralick, Edward Fralick, and Annette Dreibelbis (Ronald Sarratore). She was the proud grandmother of six, the adoring great-grandmother of fifteen, and the delighted great-great-grandmother of five. Her legacy extends through generations, including those who have passed before her, two beloved great-grandchildren. Dorothy was the last surviving sibling of her family, predeceased by Samuel Lawrence Burdick, Frances Van Dusen, Helen Ruth Engle, and Olive Lotthammer.

After graduating from high school, Dorothy’s intelligence and meticulous nature led her to a career as a bookkeeper. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly when she and her husband, Oakley, owned and operated a successful antique restoration business. Their shared passion for preserving the beauty of the past brought joy to many and served as a testament to their teamwork and dedication.

Dorothy was a devout member of St. Mark Catholic Church, where she found strength in her faith and community. Her involvement in the church extended to her participation in the Christian Mother’s group, where she formed lasting friendships and contributed to the nurturing environment that the organization is known for.

A woman of many talents and interests, Dorothy was an avid reader who always kept herself updated with the latest happenings through her cherished iPhone. Her love for technology was matched by her skill in sewing, often creating beautiful outfits for herself and Oakley. The couple shared a passion for square dancing, a hobby that not only kept them active but also closely connected in their golden years.

Known for her culinary skills, Dorothy made the best strawberry jam and strawberry pie, treats that became legendary within her family and circle of friends. Her recipes and the love with which she prepared them will be remembered and cherished by all who had the pleasure of tasting them.

Dorothy’s loving nature and kindness were the hallmarks of her character. She was a constant source of support and affection for her family, always staying in touch through texts, demonstrating that love knows no bounds of age or technology. Her warmth extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of all who knew her.
