It is with a heavy heart that we announce the transition into eternal rest of Gerald “Jerry” Pinch, who departed from this life on April 22, 2024. Born on March 13, 1957, in Niles, Michigan, Jerry was an adventurous soul, an ambitious builder, a compassionate family man, and a creative spirit. He lived life to the fullest, with his love for his family at the heart of everything he did. His captivating wit, infectious laughter, and unwavering loyalty will forever be etched in our hearts.

Jerry served our country for two years in the United States Army in the 101ST airborne division. Jerry was a dedicated and talented builder in the construction industry for over 30 years, and his perfectionist nature was reflected in the quality of his work. He was an avid collector of stamps, coins, model trains, and Budweiser steins, his collections reflecting his intricate attention to detail and his appreciation for the unique and the beautiful. Jerry’s creativity knew no bounds. He loved drawing and painting, and he could often be found playing the guitar or the drums, filling the room with his melodic tunes. He had a particular fascination with storms; their unpredictable nature and raw power mirrored his adventurous spirit. As it is written in the Book of John, “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes.”

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Pinch, with whom he shared an adventurous journey of love and companionship since December 4, 1984. He leaves behind his daughters, Heather (Jason) Cheek, Lisa Byrnes, and Kari (Joseph) Regenos, and his seven grandchildren; James, Aubrie, Adam, Alyssa, Kayli, Issiac, Tagen, and Everly. One Great-grandson-Baby Davies. Jerry is also survived by his sisters Terrie Hubbard, Tracy (Mark) Nichols, Marcy (Dale) Kutz, Melody (Randy), and Tammy (Bob) Bertles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Sr. and Shirley Pinch, his son-in-law James Byrnes, and his brother-in-law Herb Hubbard.

We invite you to celebrate the life of Jerry Pinch, a man who embraced life with joy, passion, and a sense of adventure. Please share your memories, stories, and photos of Jerry on the memorial page. Let us remember him not just for the void he leaves behind, but for the love, laughter, and life he shared with us all. A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan.
