Julie was born on September 21, 1973 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Joseph Fuzey and Rebecca (Vanskoyk) Fuzey.
Julie was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Fuzey.
Left to cherish the memory of Julie is her loving husband of many years, John Lancaster; daughters, Anna (William) Lancaster and Ava Lancaster; brothers, Joshua Fuzey, Jayme Fuzey, Jere (Stasia) Fuzey, Jon (Jackie) Fuzey, and Joseph Fuzey, and sister-in-law, Carrie Fuzey.
Julie found joy in simple pleasures, immersing herself in fun games, knitting and crocheting, and the pages of her favorite books. Her love for the outdoors was profound; she cared for animals from butterflies to dogs, never hesitating to rescue an animal or insect in need. She dreamed of visiting the ocean to observe the sea turtles nesting and swim with the dolphins.
A calm presence in any storm, she was able to comfort and guide those who needed it, especially her daughters. Julie was a devoted mother who was the first to volunteer for any school projects or events in the community, and took the time to be involved and present during her children’s developmental years. In addition, she was witty and intelligent, and always seemed to know the right thing to say.
Julie felt deeply and loved generously. Her absence is felt by all who were blessed to know her, even as her memory continues to inspire and guide us.
Visitation for Julie will be on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 11:00am to 12:00pm with a Memorial Service to be held at 12:00pm at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
