Leslie (Benner) Lee, 63, of Elkhart, IN passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at 7:40 pm on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at St Joseph Corewell Hospital.
She was born on September 4, 1960, in Mishawaka, IN, to Lester (Jane) Benner and Mary Ellen (Geyer) Wenzel, they survive. In addition to her parents she is survived by 2 daughters, Amber Henderson of Cassopolis, MI, Amy (Kenneth JR) Jones of Bristol, IN; 2 sons, Alan (AJ) Tarchala of Mishawaka, IN, Travis (Ashley) Hout of Middlebury, IN; 5 grandchildren, Kendal, Landon, Ben, Jensen, and Ian; one brother, Mark (Tracy) Benner of Granger, IN; Lifelong love and companion Gregory Hout of Elkhart, IN. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, James Wenzel.
Leslie attended Niles high school and earned her Associates degree in Business Management from Southwestern Michigan College. She spent the majority of her life as a transportation manager and had various jobs in the food industry. She enjoyed cooking, reading, beach life, a good casino and having a great time. She was an avid Notre Dame and Chicago Cubs fan.
A celebration of life will be from 3pm to 7pm on Saturday April 20, 2024, at 55290 State Road 15 Bristol, IN. In lieu of flowers donations may be given directly to the family to help with cremation expenses. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.heritage-chapel.com.
