Anyone in Cass County’s Milton Township who wondered why they lost power around 6 last evening, here’s the answer. The sheriff’s department says a 38-year-old Niles man suffered a medical issue and blacked out while driving north on Bell Street at US-12. He went off the road, knocked over a telephone pole on US-12, and the car finally stopped when it hit trees. He was wearing a seat belt but was injured. The power interruption was brief, and the crash remains under investigation.
