Andrews University has a new provost. Christon Arthur was selected this week by the university’s Board of Trustees to succeed Andrea Luxton. She is moving up to become the school’s next president. Arthur has been dean of the Andrews University School of Graduate Studies and Research since 2010, and has been associate provost since 2012. Prior to coming to the Berrien Springs school, he was an associate dean and associate professor at Tennessee State University in Nashville. Arthur will assume the post of provost on July 1, 2016, when Luxton begins her term as the sixth president of Andrews University. The formal plan to replace the dean of the School of Graduate Studies & Research will be announced at a later date.
